Each Window of Peace sculpture is an original. The doves are casting, but each stone is individually carved. The theme is consistent, but the size and shape will always change.

This piece is truly one-of-a-kind.

The pairing of stone with doves seems almost like combining opposites. One so heavy and impenetrable, created over centuries of pressure and climatic changes; the other so light and delicate that it can actually take flight. Delicate elegance and a centuries-old symbol of peace, the dove is yet another of many of God’s stunning creatures. One can’t help but admire the gentle beauty and the ethereal quality about them, that few creatures possess. Natural stone has always fascinated me, every piece unique, like every living creature. I created Window of Peace to evoke that oneness and uniqueness, but also to show that the merging of unlike forms creates a beauty all its own. One form complimenting and enhancing the other thus creating the tie that links all life forms. It is that unity and connectedness which instills a sense of peace.
